Happy New Year! In this reading for January, we are invited to look at our relationship to TIME and “see” with a new kind of vision. What if time were alive... would you treat it differently? What if you could “see” all of your problems... would you be willing to take full responsibility of your life experience? The choice is yours and the time is now. We’re being called to shift our outer world by shifting how we relate to time.
This month, we’re stepping into the realm of “All-time” and it’s a wild ride ;)

Ep. 112 Honoring the Medicine of Hibernation & Surrendering to Changing Tides with Linda García aka Luz Warrior
In this episode, we’re speaking with Linda García aka Luz Warrior on what it looks like to honor the medicine of hibernation and surrender to the changing tides of life... and doing so in a world that pushes against it. Linda tells us the story behind “Luz Warrior” and the Let There Be Luz podcast, and her struggles and trauma in earlier years. Linda shares how she transitioned from commercial storytelling in film, tv and radio to storytelling for wellness, her process of coming out of the “spiritual closet” and making conscious development teachings more accessible to her community.
Linda also talks about the biggest challenges that she has faced in her transition and what following the intuitive path looks like for her, plus the dragons she has slayed along the way in stepping into her truth and breaking through victim mentality.
Linda gives so much beautiful advice for those of us in the contraction phase in our path, and how to honor the ebbs just as much as the flows.
As the final interview of 2019 and this decade, I couldn’t have imagined a better conversation to close out the energy of this past decade and honor where it is that we are going together as a collective - toward a way of living that honors our rhythms and cycles on a massive scale.
THANK YOU for being YOU and your contribution to your own growth + supporting the greater global community. ♥️

Solo Episode: DECEMBER :: Akashic Soul Nourishment Reading :: Re-membering the Seed In the Garden of Your Heart
About Monthly Soul Nourishment Readings: These readings are usually filled with metaphor & symbols, so may require a bit of unraveling & might mean something different for each person, so pay attention to what comes up for you as you listen on. Hope they provide value and moments of reflection in your journey.
In this reading, our guides direct our attention to our roots and the seeds we hold within our heart. We are reminded that Collaboration is the key and to tune into Divine Source to allow the flow of creativity that informs our reality. We can tap into our collective gifts, abilities and resources when we acknowledge our togetherness in sacred union as a supraorganism - so let’s work together, shall we?
Our invitation this month, and the last month of this decade, is to continue remembering. Continue connecting. Continue to take the steps in the name of love to nourish our seeds and allow them to lead the way. We are left with a song meditation for you to tune into, attune your awareness, and recover the window to the heart-Mind.
I also share my reflections of this past year and current exciting offers.
The song meditation from our guides:
Open your heart
Remember your seeds
Planted before
Your Mind could conceive
Remember the time when you used to play
Open your heart, it’s now the day
Open your heart
Receive the gifts
Your seeds contain
So Deep within
Remember the time when love was abound
Follow your heart, begin with its sound
Words from the Akashics this month
Be still the mind dear ones. There is a forest and a raging fire that will begin underground. The roots of which will burn and kill life. It is invisible above ground. This is where our attention must go... to our roots. We must nurture, care for them. Support life, that is self sustaining when nurtured and provided the space and ingredients for creating living systems. You do not need to know the “how” but the what. This means looking at your own life, the roots of your life experience. What do you most need to sustain you. What do you desire to flourish. What do you envision to expand. A seedling grows toward the light, it knows which direction to move without needing to “see” it. We must tune into this innate intelligence, once again we are asking you to use ALL of your senses, not just the 5 you are most aware of.
Open the shades within your mind. Where have they been shut, obscuring your view thru the window of awareness?
Whether you simply peek thru the binds or open them widely, all that matters is that you agree to See. Once you “See” with the mind’s eye acknowledging what the heart knows and holds, you cannot unSee... there is no going back to blindness.
What is it that we are here to see?
That you are me and we are 3 in one. The Trinity, Christ consciousness, kintus, mind body spirit, this sacred union allows us to move as a unit, a supraorganism, with unlimited gifts and abilities and resources. Collaboration is the key. However this does not mean that we must all agree - there are times when resistance yields exponential growth and movement. Just as the oar pushes against the surface of water to propel forward, yet there must be coordination to get to a designated destination. Movement for the sake of movement does not equate to growth, expansion or alignment.
To that end, growth for the sake of growth is a grand error of the modern thinking Mind. Question the “growth mindset”, interrogate the expansion model and #WINNING way of life.
We would love for you to tune into Source, in whatever way that suits you.
Music, meditation, dance, prayer and hiking are popular ways to do this. What is a practice that allows you to feel so connected and “plugged in” that the experience transcends the thinking Mind and activates all of the body and energy field? What is the pathway
If it is difficult to think of a practice or even the sense of connectivity when plugged in, try to remember how it felt as a child lost in imagination and play. The sense of freedom and flow, no worries about what to do or say next or what others will think of you. Just pure connection to Divine Source and the flow of creativity that informs our reality.
Now when you have a practice or pathway in mind, commit to doing it at least one time a week. We would prefer you would do this daily, however we sense the resistance and feelings of guilt around this and encourage you to consciously committed. 1 practice, 1 time a week. That is it. We will meet you on the other side (which is neither an other nor a side, as it is All that is and that you are and merely a switch in perception, but expressions of language can be useful in these communications).
In this creative state of Oneness and Allness, connected to Source, set the intention that your immediate heart’s desires will be revealed and accepted without judgement.
That seed that we talk about.. The seed planted within your heart, it was planted by you before you came to this world. But so many forget. Forget to tend the garden of the heart where this seed is planted. Forget that there is a seed and garden at all.
Our invitation this month, and the last month of this decade, is to continue remembering. Continue connecting. Continue to take the steps in the name of love to nourish our seeds and allow them to lead the way.

This Episode's Theme...
#UNFILTERED Moon Musings :: New Moon In Sagittarius :: Adapting to Change, Pacing Ourselves, Twerking as Medicine
Happy new moon! Venessa and Megan talk about how this new moon in Sagittarius houses a beautiful energy to reflect on recent themes before Eclipse season arrives, invitations for working with our root chakra, and adapting to change. We discuss the importance of working with our bodies and mining our thoughts, and ways to support our internal fires so we don’t burn out.
We share some of what we’ve been working on to support our root and allow more flow (i.e. are you holding your pee too?) such as honoring our body’s rhythms, self massage and twerking as medicine. We explore some of our fave moistening and circulatory foods & herbs to support the flow of that heat related to weakened or imbalanced Sagittarius fire.

Assessing the ecology of our thoughts and our body-mind (bidirectional) connection is one of the critical things we can do to support our health
Somatic experiencing and therapies and their use in releasing thoughts, beliefs, traumas, and energies

She is the director of the beloved annual WILD WOMAN FEST, a women’s retreat-festival hybrid which fosters a deep connection to nature, a direct experience of the divine feminine & profound spiritual sisterhood among the women in attendance.

Ep. 103 Thus Spoke The Plant :: Exploring Plant Cognition & The “Real Plant Revolution” with Monica Gagliano
>> SUBSCRIBE :: Sign up for newsletter to receive updates on upcoming programs and events
*Due to Monica’s location in nature at her home in Australia, the internet connection gets disrupted at certain points in the conversation - while we did our best to make the audio sound better at certain points, we apologize for the quality and encourage you to continue listening as she has so many amazing things to say.
In her book Thus Spoke The Plant, a “phytobiography”– or a collection of stories written in partnership with a plant –research scientist Monica Gagliano reveals the dynamic role plants play in genuine first-hand accounts from her research into plant communication and cognition. By transcending the view of plants as the objects of scientific materialism, Gagliano encourages us to rethink plants as people–beings with subjectivity, consciousness, and volition, and hence having the capacity for their own perspectives and voices.
Monica’s research aims at expanding our perception of animals, plants and more generally Nature. In the process of learning how to do this, Monica has pioneered the brand-new research field of plant bioacoustics and extended the concept of cognition to plants, re-igniting the discourse on plant subjectivity, sentience and ethical standing.
In this interview, Monica shares about how an ethical crisis was the seed that changed the course of Monica’s career and led to her working with plants and writing her book. We talk about the collective “plant blindness” and Monica shares how resistant and scared she was to change.
We talk about Trust as one of the biggest lessons Monica has and continues to learn through this work, and Monica’s explanation of “personhood” with regards to plants, and thus the legality of the natural world. Monica shares what the “real plant revolution” is and its many implications... plus lots of talk on top issues capturing Monica’s attention: GMOs, Cannabis, and the appropriation of potent medicinal plants on a larger scale.
Stick to the end to hear Monica’s request for your support and how you can help her mission to protect and restore the ecologies of the Earth!
Show Notes
In this episode, we discuss:
How an ethical crisis was the seed that changed the course of Monica’s career and led to her working with plants and writing her book
How being let go from her job, living off of little income and entering more challenging times and emotions ushered her into a deeper journey with plants and her mission to advocate for them
Monica explains “plant blindness” and shares how resistant and scared she was to change
How Trust is one of the biggest lessons Monica has and continues to learn through this work
How Monica communicates with plants and “hears” their messages, and the evolution of her relationship to them
Monica’s explanation of “personhood” with regards to plants, and the origins of the word “person”, the concept of masks and personas, and the problems with anthropomorphizing plants
The legality of the natural world, how plants are agents that have their own interests, and the cloudy legalities around the rights of plants and nature
The wishful thinking of the name Homo sapiens and the false “othering” between humans and nature
The “real plant revolution” and its implications: an evolutionary process into a “new old” human
The importance of Imagination, and the collective point of tension we are experiencing before the bow releases the arrow
The top issues that are capturing Monica’s attention: GMOs, Cannabis, and the decriminalization + appropriation of potent medicinal plants on a larger scale
Monica’s view on GMOs, how she doesn’t believe it’s founded in science and shouldn’t be funded
How we need to change our collective Mind before we are able to change our world
What Monica has received from the plants on how to “change our Mind”, and how it involves the deconstruction of the Self
Monica’s advice for folx midwifing ourselves into a new story and new Mind
Which plant is feeding her wild right now and the beautiful vision of a new grassroots project she received
The importance of sound and what is being discovered thru soundscape ecology and plant bioacoustics
How you can support Monica and her team in this new project to support the planet

Show Notes
How this full moon in Taurus is an awesome time for completing long term goals, making dreams a reality, and understanding and communicating your feelings
Taurus vibes this moon - we’re gettin crafty and creating our reality by hand and voice
Physically, we’re looking at the throat chakra and organs ie thyroid, tonsils, vocal cords, etc
How slowing down can make us more “productive”
Megan’s journey with crafting, the compare and despair journey, and coming into her own
Venessa shares her personal challenges with communicating and activating her voice, and surfacing of deep emotions
Truth-speaking - how we often hold things in so as not to hurt others, and how this can impact our physiology
The conversions connection - converting our mind/heart to expressed words, converting thyroid hormones for healthy metabolism
The interconnections in our physical bodies and energy bodies, such as the connection between stomach (solar plexus) and thyroid (throat chakra)
We’re inspired to do a stomach acid “challenge” - ways to support your stomach acid this moon cycle:
Add in 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar to water before meals, lemon to water, pure celery juice, hydrochloric acid supplementation if needed
Blue/aquamarine color related to thyroid/throat chakra:
eat blue and sea-based foods to support the throat!
Foods for thyroid: sea veggies (minerals/iodine), brazil nuts (for selenium)
Herbs for throat: antimicrobial: thyme, sage, rosemary, honey; mucilaginous: aloe vera, marshmallow root, slippery elm, licorice,
Making herbal gargles to use to clear stagnation in throat (energetic + physical) to support the vocal expression of truth; Megan’s recipe: oregon grape, astragalus, garlic
Energetic use of herbs, i.e. Calamus (aka Sweet Flag) - has a signature for the throat (roots look like larynx), has been traditionally used to support the voice, esp for singers in Native American traditions and India/Ayurveda

Love this podcast? Subscribe over on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, Spotify, Google Play and never miss an episode.
Happy 11/11! In this solo episode, I was inspired to get personal and allow some intuitive sharings to come thru straight from the heart. I speak to what 11:11 means to me and talk about my career journey including things I have not shared publicly before. I talk about what I learned working in “corporate” and in an entrepreneurial setting for 10 years before I jumped ship into my own company, and my take on the “medicine of disorientation” and the unbearable feeling of “not knowing what to do next”.
I also share the biggest takeaway lessons I’ve learned over the past 15 years and what I’ve been up to lately including new & exciting things coming out in 2020! This kind of intuitively led episode was a stretch for me (I like to prepare + plan, even for the Akashic readings!) so I trust there were supportive insights reflected in my own personal journey for ya!

Solo Episode: NOVEMBER :: Akashic Soul Nourishment Reading :: Pay Attention & Widen Your Heart’s Perception for Co-Creation
About Monthly Soul Nourishment Readings: These readings are usually filled with metaphor & symbols, so may require a bit of unraveling & might mean something different for each person, so pay attention to what comes up for you as you listen on. Hope they provide value and moments of reflection in your journey.
In this reading, our guides are inviting us to celebrate life and EXPRESS through this holy embodiment... use it, work it, feel it, be it. Each breath is life, each exhale a mini death. What are you going to breathe life into next? What are you extinguishing in the next cycle?
We are reminded that we are not alone on this earth walk dance floor, support is all around us... yet we are blessed with the illusion of separation - experience it as a gift, not as a punishment.
Pick up the pen and be the active participant and co-creator you are meant to be. We are given recommendations of practices that will help us connect with the unseen support around us, our ancestors, and face the stories we carry. Above all, we are asked to simply pay attention, widen our heart’s perception thru intention, and see what unfolds as you step more deeply into the role of co-creator in your life.
I also give updates on what I’ve been up to for this week of the dead, share a tarot card pull, and I’m looking forward to inviting a couple of you beautiful souls into my one-on-one 90 Day Akashic Transformational program... Be sure to sign up to the newsletter for updates and first dibs on exclusive offers!
Transcript
Twirling, romantic ballerina dancing, ballroom elegance but barefoot, wild and free
Grace. Emission of sanctity through the soles of our feet as they lightly thump upon the bare floor. Like a drumbeat , the rhythm of life pulsating thru with each step. This is life.
Life is meant to be celebrated. All of it. There is no wrong way to celebrate... find what suits you but do it. Quietly taking in, howling loudly at the moon, gyrating to vibrations that pass thru your ear, letting out the bubbling energy thru laughter, crying, song.
We have many modes of expression, what a gift! To be embodied. To have flesh and separation. We have forgotten how connected we all are, so your story may make it may feel lonelier than it actually is. We get to EXPRESS through this holy embodiment... use it, work it, feel it, be it.
Each breath is life, each exhale a mini death. What are you going to breathe life into next? What are you extinguishing in the next cycle?
We choose what to see. We choose what to breathe. We choose what to believe.
Wipe away the condensation from your heart and mind, then tell me what you see.
I see beauty, pain, love, death, miracles, joy, suffering, ecstasy.
It’s all there. It’s all One.
We are not alone on this earth walk dance floor. Each sway, spin and giration cradled by the unseen support, the beings that walk with us, hold us, nudge us. Akashic beings of light, ancestors, guides, those unnamed. Widen your heart space to feel them, they are there. You’re never alone. And yet, we are blessed with the illusion of separation - experience it as a gift, not as a punishment.
We see the swirling pond, the whirlpool in a grand body of water. We enter the center, the vortex, the portal. Where will you go next? What world will you create? The time is now. To choose your next world... your experiences, how you experience them. Do you know how creative you are? That you create worlds? Do not be fooled by the real-ness of your own creation! It’s time to step back into the writer’s den, the artist’s studio, the weaver’s seat... Pick up the pen and be the active participant and co-creator you are meant to be.
How? So many of us feel lost and confused, or feel resistance no matter how hard we try...?
Ahh yes... “trying”. As your friend tells you: Trying is lying.
There is a difference between going through motions (particularly those that are “what you’re supposed to do”) vs taking inspired action coming from deep listening and perception.
We’ve said it a million times, and we’ll say it again: PAY ATTENTION.
A step to begin with: widen your field of perception, can you notice something you never noticed before today? Can you see, hear, touch, sense, taste, feel something you have never before?
Acknowledge it by being with it - receiving it, honoring it by perceiving and pausing.
This is the Work for every month, but this month esp the first week of November, the veil is thin meaning there is permeability between worlds. Perceiving can be “easier” , attained with a bit less effort in these days. As a large collective honors the ancestors for your holidays the Samhain, Halloween, Dia de los muertos and other day of dead celebrations, the ancestors and unseen ones are present for you in a more palpable way.
Connect with ONE ancestor or guide this month. Pay attention to the thoughts that just came up as we said this... were they curious? Excited? Mean? Anxious?
Pay attention to the quality of your thoughts around connecting with them as this will guide you to your deeper work and areas that might need support.
Choose ONE ancestor or guide, even if you don’t know them. Set an intention to connect and build a relationship with them. What might that mean for you? Perhaps you speak aloud at the same designated spot in your home or out in nature, and start a conversation. Perhaps it’s creating a simple altar that you tend to this month. Or carry a photo with you that you can touch and look at. If you have a belonging such as a blanket they made or a watch, can you connect with the object that was once their own?
Above all, simply pay attention, widen your heart’s perception thru intention, and see what unfolds as you step more deeply into the role of co-creator in your life.

#UNFILTERED Moon Musings :: New Moon In Scorpio :: Slow and Deep is the Medicine
It’s Scorpio season and we’re taking it slow this new moon and week of Halloween & Samhain. Today Venessa and Megan talk about how this Scorpio moon is calling us to deepen our intentions and dares us to find a place in our life experience where we can take it slow.
We share some of what we’ve been struggling with on a personal level, and the surprising remedies this moon has offered us. We discuss Scorpio’s influence on our 2nd chakra & reproductive organs, and how the medicine of Slowness facilitates deep healing & transformation in these areas (and assists other remedies such as our “hormone balancing” herbal allies and foods to work even better, or at all).
From Slow Food to Slow Making, this moon and season we are inviting you to literally carve out moments of stillness and savor the medicine.

Ep. 97 How Working With Your Well Ancestors Can Support Healing & Change Your Life with Maris Bergrune
“Ancestral lineage healing is a potent process of healing and vitalization for your ancestral lineages, and by extension yourself.” ~ Maris Bergrune
Maris Bergrune is an ancestral lineage healing practitioner, Norse ritual animist, and ritual healer. She helps people become deeply well with their ancestors and access Northern European wisdom traditions and transformational ritual.
Today, Maris and I are talking about ancestral lineage healing, what it is, how Maris got into this work, and why it’s critical to develop a connection to our “well ancestors” for reparation work within our line so we can know what it means to be resourced by our wise and well ancestors.
Maris shares how to get in touch with your helpful ancestors and build healthy connection with them to clarify your unique gifts and give you a sense of belonging in the world. We cover the difference between ancestral lineage work and soul history work, the importance of boundaries and protection in this work and how to breakthrough intuitive blocks when connecting to the Ancestors.
Musical clip at interlude: Ár Var Alda sung by Maris from her collection of Songs from Old Norse Eddic Poetry. You can find this one and more at www.livingvoicemedicine.com
Show Notes
In this episode, we discuss:
What is Ancestral lineage healing and how does working with one’s ancestors work to support someone in the present? What can unfold?
How Maris got into this work after
*You specialize in seiðr (pronounced say-ther) a Northern European trance-mediumship practice
Why we need to be clear about connecting with our “well ancestors” and work within a well-boundaried system
What it looks like to have a “rooted spiritual home”
How the well Ancestral collective in our lines do the reparation work that leads to healing
How to become well-resourced and connect to the gifts within each ancestral line
What is a “well ancestor” and how do we get in touch with them.
How Ancestral lineage healing helps one to connect with personal identity, gifts, and purpose
How Ancestral healing work has changed Maris’ life and grounded her in this planet and purpose, after years of feeling like she didn’t belong
How the wellness of ancestral line or lack thereof is having an impact on our current life experience
How Maris felt “spiritually homeless” until getting in touch with her ancestors
Spiritual seeking and avoiding cultural appropriation
How one can create a direct connection to Ancestors, even in cases of disconnection from a family lineage, such as in adoption, displacement, or other situations
How the point is more about how we interact with the world on a daily basis - being connected and relational with the world than it is about creating rituals
The difference between Ancestral lineage healing work and soul history work
The concept of cosmic time, dimensions and how our ancestors are present in the present moment
Specific practices and tools through Daniel Foor’s Ancestral Medicine book
The importance of boundaries and protection in this work
How to breakthrough intuitive blocks and how Maris works with clients to connect to their Ancestors

#UNFILTERED Moon Musings :: Full Moon In Aries :: Hitting the Reset Button, Healthy Confrontations, Sleep Hygiene
DISCLAIMER: The quality of my (Venessa’s) audio is subpar today because, well, sometimes technology decides not to cooperate! Apologies for the less-than-enjoyable listening experience, and we wish you a nourishing full moon <3
Happy Full Moon in Aries! Today Venessa and Megan are talking about the influences of this Aires moon that supports us in looking at where we’re putting too much emphasis on conflict and resistance (and things that give you a headache!), and pressing that reset button for healthier confrontations. We talk about the power of this time for shifting our vantage point and perspective for more acceptance and spaciousness. We discuss Aries’ influence on our head, sleep, and the importance of getting enough rest at this fiery junction. If you’re feeling elevated tension or burnout, prioritize that SLEEP! We share our fave ways of doing all of the above, and & offer some full moon reflection prompts to support you in this lunar cycle.

Show Notes
Where are we putting too much emphasis on conflict when we need to be “accepting” and shifting perspective/vantage point
This Aries full moon will elevate tensions (headaches in many different senses), so pay attention to your body and give yourself needed rest...take a nap! It’s time for us to make sure we are getting enough sleep and rest
Ways to optimize sleep, bed time rituals, brushing teeth/tongue/ taking care of teeth and mouth health; related to sleep and brain health
Aries ruled by Mars = Cardinal energy - initiative energy; choose to start a healthy habit or break one that is no longer serving you; aka HIT THE REFRESH BUTTON
FIRE - we all have that vital spark, life-force, but we need to take care of it! Replenish at night
Physical/Organs connected to Aries: Head, teeth, tongue
Good oral hygiene before bed; brain “washing” immune system “glymphatic system”
Sleep support herbs + tips: chamomile, skullcap, hops, mugwort, Passionflower vine extract and valerian in evening (note: valerian needs 2-4 weeks of regular use to work optimally); magnesium tea (CALM magnesium in cup of warm water); essential oils - some may help w/sleep such as valerian or lavender
