In this episode, we’re speaking with Langston Kahn, a shamanic practitioner and teacher specializing in radical human transformation, ancestral healing and the restoration of an authentic relationship with our emotions. Langston is the author of Deep Liberation: Shamanic Teachings for Reclaiming Wholeness in a Culture of Trauma.

Rosalee is a wonderful storyteller with colorful tales that draw you into the experience. She does this beautifully with her teachings and books, and today we’re going to dive into her latest book co-written with Emily Han, called Wild Remedies: How to Forage Healing Foods and Craft Your Own Herbal Medicine.
In this interview, you’ll hear about Rosalee’s healing story and plant path - how she overcame a rare diagnosed terminal autoimmune disease within six months of taking herbs and changing her diet - free from her debilitating symptoms. She shares how a chance meeting with Tori Amos and magical synchronicities led Rosalee to write Wild Remedies.
If humans interact with the wild, is it still wild? This is a question we explore in this interview and why Rosalee’s life’s work is deprogramming the belief that we are disconnected from nature. Rosalee shares her belief on what is wildness and wild land and our role in relationship with the natural world and plants. She offers helpful questions to ask ourselves about how to support the resilience and livelihood of wild places and how to harvest with awareness and know when it is time to NOT forage.
Rosalee’s goal is to bring wild remedies into all areas of our lives, and I find her book Wild Remedies to be a lovely experiential exploration that awakens the senses and enlivens the connection to nature within.
While we didn’t go deep into specific recipes, Rosalee has been so gracious to offer listeners and Patreon supports a special gift! Click the links below to access a free herbal jumpstart course and access her Sweet Celebrations ebook full of delicious herbal recipes.

Ep. 169 Shocking Prophecies for Our World & How To Get Into Alignment for Future’s Sake with Penny Kelly
In this episode, we’re speaking with Penny Kelly, teacher, Naturopathic physician, researcher of consciousness, and writer and author of Robes: A Book of Coming Changes. In light of the recent events that occurred in the US Capitol, Venessa covers the “cosmic climate” in the introduction, providing a mini moon musing for this week’s new moon in Capricorn as well as other astrological influences at play. The overall theme: rebirth + rebellion.
This interview with Penny is timely, as we collectively hold important inquiries: What future are we unfolding in our world today? Where are we going as a civilization? What is my role in this time of transition? If you’ve been seeking information, insight, or answers regarding the future of our world and what we can do as a people, Penny’s book Robes, was written for you.
In our chat, Penny shares about her kundalini awakening and how she came to write this book about her visitations by prophetic beings who shared glimpses of the future and the truth of human nature. We discuss many of the visions she was shown, from Mother Earth as a living being and the nature of the human health, to Penny’s “non-negotiables” for supporting health and the intricate link between humans and plants.
Penny highlights the importance of inner authority and getting out of victim consciousness in order to move toward self sovereignty. She also offers a list of helpful questions to assess your level of preparedness for what is to come and the basic needs we must secure for ourselves.
Penny has good advice for people who are stuck in fear or experiencing increased anxiety, especially during this time of the pandemic and these bigger cosmic transitions. She also answers questions from parents about how to support the growth and development of new babies coming into this world and how to support children in developing their intuitive abilities.
We just scratched the surface of what Penny was shown about the future, and I hope our conversation serves to inspire and empower you through the coming changes.
Show Notes
In this episode, we discuss:
Reconnecting means Understanding how Mother Earth and nature works energetically and the true scientific principles she’s based upon because they hold the secret to becoming an advanced civilization
How does mother nature build a tree or plant? How does water move? What are the energetic principles that underlie that?
The connection between our collective actions and disruption of weather patterns, aka global warming
Penny breaks down how the intelligent living beings called trees balance the weather patterns through the hydrological cycle, the wind, & electromagnetic fields
How the Earth and humans are meant to stay cool
How humans have lost high immune function and ability to tolerate lower temperatures
Why humans cannot maintain high states of consciousness if we don’t have a highly tuned healthy body
The nature of humans as a massive set of frequency, and how being “out of tune” means having some kind of dysfunction
Healing as “constructive interference” and ways to bring your frequency back into tune
The importance of minerals as high frequency generators and what they can do for our health
The human as a plasma being
How to deal with triggering situations in a way that supports your optimal health
The nature of vitamin A, why place matters when it comes to sourcing food and why eating locally, seasonally, (and best of all - growing your own food) are best for attuning your specific health
How “organic” = ready to be used by the human body, how artificial foods are missing necessary frequencies for the body, and how the body will reject “strange” magnetic charges
How plants attune minerals allowing them to be utilized by humans and animals
What Penny says are non-negotiables for supporting our health: drink good water, regular detox, eating good food, identifying what’s missing from your food, supplements to support diet, and how exercise generates electricity within the body-mind system!
The relationship between humans, animals, and plants; how plants will calibrate according to their environment and who is around them (to correct whatever is missing from energetic system of the human)
Why it’s a good idea to grow your own food and talk to the plants
Why “inner authority” was a main message from Penny’s visitors
Penny’s tips to support self-sufficiency:
have supplies on hand to be able to feed yourself
grow your own medicine
understand how to use food and herbs to heal
prioritize on developing your own consciousness
Penny offers a list of helpful questions to assess your level of preparedness and to get us thinking about basic needs
Penny’s advice for people in fear and anxiety during this pandemic
Why we’ll have to get past the idea of jobs and be self sufficient
Why it’s time to take a hard look at our government and financial systems - if they were not working well, we need to reassess and change them
How the potential of the human has been destroyed by the current educational system
The new education system that the Robes showed Penny, and how that led her to get involved with efforts to create a similar system, cradle-to-grave learning
Why it’s critical to teach children basic survival skills and how to develop their innate intuitive abilities
What the Robes taught Penny about Christ-Consciousness, the original meaning of the name “Jesus”, and the second coming as a shift in collective consciousness
Quotes:
“If we want to change the civilization, you’ll have to change the consciousness. Otherwise you’re gonna end up creating the same thing you already had.” ~ Penny Kelly
Excerpts from Robes: A Book of Coming Changes:
"The most important thing for you to remember as you look at these coming changes is that things could be so much easier if you understood why these things are happening, and if you worked with them instead of against them... For you to work with them, however, you must have some idea of where you are going.”
“Our question to you as a people would be, “What has gone wrong with your understanding of power that millions of ppl will focus their fears in one person or one organization , and then let that person or organization manipulate them using their own fear?” There is nothing to fear! And how is it that millions of hearts, working together, cannot come up with enough love to convert even one fearful leader and a few misguided followers? The world has truly fallen out of love!”

Ep. 167 The Great Conjunction :: Astro Insights, Aquarius Magic & Big Shifts with Katie Emma
This is the final episode of 2020! In the intro of this episode, Venessa shares her personal experience and soul work reflecting upon this past year, connecting with her 35+ year old braid of hair, and guides us through a mini moon musing of this week’s full moon in emotional Cancer.
In this interview, we are speaking with Katie Emma, an astrology teacher and the founder of Temple of Cosmic Astrology School. We dive into The Great Conjunction - Katie gives us a full breakdown of what it is and why it’s potent that it’s happening at zero degrees of Aquarius. She helps us understand the influences and energies of Jupiter (planet of expansion) and Saturn (planet of boundaries) as well as Aquarian themes connected in with this transit: humanitarianism, forging one’s own way ahead, and community.
Katie helps to explain the Age of Aquarius, the galactic cycles of time and how we are at the cusp of this great shift. We also look at the 12 different astrological houses in your natal chart, the difference between various house systems, and we try to bring this big cosmic energy and information down to the personal and practical through your birth chart. So go grab your chart and follow along!
You’ll hear insights regarding the broader collective impact of the Great Shift, historical context as it relates to these astrological shifts, and the North and South nodes as they relate to your chart. Katie shares a beautiful message from the Chandra symbols so stay tuned to the end!

Ep. 162 Merging Akashic Record Wisdom with Functional Nutrition for True Healing on the Mojo Mecca
This week I had a pull to share this episode I had previously recorded with Chloe Slattery on her podcast The Mojo Mecca, with the Feed Your Wild audience. I loved this conversation and felt it would be helpful for some to hear my own journey, work with Akashic Records, and insight into “healing” and soul work. Chloe and I discuss:
- My upbringing, Puerto Rican ancestry and traditions + the passing of my mother as a catalyst of change and a deepening into the world of nutrition and healing.
- The Akashic Records: the 'cosmic database' that they are, what they can teach us, and how I work with them to help people in their healing processes.
- Strengthening your spiritual gifts through regularly committing to access that space
- The non-linear aspect of 'time' and how our minds may think we need to 'heal' at one pace, whereas from a soul perspective the timeline is a lot more expansive and integrative.
- Past lives and ancestral beliefs/patterns/messages that we can have access to for our healing.
- Integrating 'soul work' as a career, pricing your work and finding balance.
- The importance of groundedness in 're-wilding' to appreciation of this human life and this precious planet we're on.
- The danger of 'diet dogma' and the real essence of 'intuitive eating' as a healing modality for our bodies.
And lots more!

Ep. 159 {Encore} Navigating The Stars And Talking To Dead People: Astrology + Mediumship With Jessica Lanyadoo
“Your soul does not reside in your body, instead your body resides within your soul. The body is an articulation of the soul’s lessons.”
– Jessica Lanyadoo
This week we are rebroadcasting our episode with Jessica Lanyadoo, Navigating the Starts and Talking to Dead People: Astrology and Mediumship in time for Samhain, Halloween and El Día de los Muertos where the veil between the physical world and the spirit world wear thin! This episode also synchronistically aired two years ago during Mercury Retrograde as well :)
Since the original airing, Jessica has created her own amazing twice weekly astrology and advice podcast Ghost of A Podcast which is so much fun and super practical + inspiring. Jessica has also released a wonderful book called Astrology For Real Relationships.
In this episode, I’m excited to be speaking with Jessica Lanyadoo, an internationally respected Astrologer and Psychic Medium, who is currently the resident astrologer for Girlboss and The Hoodwitch in the US, and Chatelaine in Canada.
We talk about the reasons behind the recent explosion of astrology into mainstream and how medical astrology can help us understand how to live better in our physical body, plus tips on how to embody information received thru astrology without getting overwhelmed.
We also talk about psychic mediumship and animal communication - how Jessica discovered her intuitive gifts and what happens when we die according to her experience talking with dead people, plus how to talk to animals.
Jessica shares words of advice for people who want to support their own intuition and abilities, including the vital importance of spiritual and energetic hygiene.
This was such a fun interview, but there are a few places with some sound tech weirdness. It’s not terrible – just wanted to give you a head’s up. And yes, we recorded right at the start of Mercury retrograde because we are daredevils like that, so perhaps that’s what we get. We survived and thank goodness we did because this interview is going to blow your esoteric socks off. Enjoy!
